Mount Apatite
A 325 acre wooded park located in Auburn. Mount Apatite is most known for mineral exploration, where you can search for tourmaline and quarts. The area also boasts excellent trails for hiking, biking, and snow shoeing in the winter.
Thorncrag Bird + Nature Sanctuary
A 372 acre wildlife preserve located in Lewiston. Thorncrag is a wonderful place for hiking, picnicking, and birdwatching.
The Riverwalk

Lake Auburn
A 2,260 acre reservoir located in Auburn, is a great place for fresh water fishing. Swimming is not permitted in the lake, however boating is permitted as well as offshore fishing. The lake boasts a wide array of fresh water fish such as Brook Trout, Small Mouth Bass and Landlocked Salmon.
